The Sheepdog Project

People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success. There are a chosen few who have the courage to place themselves in harm's way between the wolves and the flock. They are known as Sheepdogs. Tim Kennedy, combat proven Special Forces Sniper, Airborne Ranger, and Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Tim has dedicated his life to protecting others, and teaching the skills of both armed and unarmed combat to the next generation of Sheepdogs. Doctor Mike Simpson, former Special Forces Operator, Airborne Ranger, and battle-proven warrior with over three decades of military experience. Mike has made it his mission to save lives both on and off the battlefield, and to spread the ethos of what it means to be a Sheepdog. From Law enforcement officers and first responders, to Combat Veterans and Martial Arts masters, the Sheepdog Project explores every aspect of what it means to be a modern Sheepdog.

Retired Staff Sergeant Bobby Dove, of Gloucester, VA, served as a Green Beret in the US Army Special Forces. On June 9, 2012, SSG(R) Dove was injured by an IED while driving a dirt bike on combat patrol in Afghanistan, resulting in amputations of his dominate hand and leg, as well as many other life threatening injuries. Dove’s immediate determination to overcome all obstacles was evident from day one of his recovery. He asked his father-in-law’s permission to marry his girlfriend the day he awoke in the ICU, and the two married in October 2013, and welcome their son, Wyatt Alexander, in October 2014. Through his dedication and hard work he returned to duty 7 months after his injury and deployed again on a non-combat deployment only 12 months post injury. Since medically retiring in 2014, Dove has been actively involved with nonprofit organizations that strive to help wounded service members return to the outdoors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Special Operations Wounded Warriors, and is a Team 43 Sports Warrior. He is one of few that have vowed to continue to succeed and take his life and recovery into his own hands. He plans to use his business, Hooligan Charters, to promote community involvement and assist other service members in need along with his great friend and co-owner Cliff Beard.

Bob Mayer is a West Point Graduate, Former Green Beret, CEO of Cool Gus Publishing and a NY Times Bestselling Author. He has had over 50 books published, and has sold over four million copies.  He is greatly in demand as a leadership speaker and consultant for his Who Dares Wins: The Green Beret Way concept. He is also the Co-Creator of Cool Gus Publishing, which does both eBooks and Print On Demand.

Bob grew up in the Bronx. After high school, he entered West Point where he learned about the history of our military and our country. During his four years at the Academy and later in the Infantry, Mayer questioned the idea of "mission over men." When he volunteered and passed selection for the Special Forces as a Green Beret, he felt more at ease where the men were more important than the mission.

Mayer's obsession with mythology and his vast knowledge of the military and Special Forces, mixed with his strong desire to learn from history, is the foundation for his science fiction series Atlantis, Area 51 and Psychic Warrior. His unique background in the Special Forces gives the reader a sense of authenticity and creates a reality that makes the reader wonder where fact ends and fiction begins.

Bob has presented for over a thousand organizations both in the United States and internationally, including keynote presentations, all day workshops, and multi-day seminars. He has taught organizations ranging from writers, to law enforcement and even Fortune-500 companies.
